Dear Friends
I am writing this in English so that I can be sure I say what I mean to say
For someone who has no one (except Anna of course) to share his passion, Modelbouwforum and SOS have become a home away from home. It has become the place where I can forget about my worries, loneliness and the like. I do not build model ships to build the best and most historically accurate - I build it because it keeps me sane in a world that has gone mad. And apart from the opportunity to share my efforts, that is the real value of the forum to me. In a place world where there is so much negativity, so much conflict and so much self-interest, the forums have always been the place where everyone can forget their different backgrounds and different personalities and SHARE what is dear to them. At SOS where we have modelers from all over the world, it is amazing to see how cultures, politics, different religions and even language barriers get put aside in the interest of that which we love so much. Sure, we have had our differences and as Peter Voogt will be able to tell you, there were times when I felt like packing my bags. But ... when the emotions settle the next morning, comes the realization that there are too many things about my friends and this passion of mine that I will miss.
And that is my plea to you all. Do not neglect what we have - it is impossible to get it back. A friendly PM - which has reconciliation as its only goal - a polite and sincere "Sorry" at the right time, does wonders to clear things up. Modelbouwforum is special to me because this is the closest that I can get to my culture, my language and origins - that is why I feel so serious about this.

In this world we live nowerdays, we only can hope that all the people will do their own right thing.
If it is a hobby, work or something else let the people be happy and share their thoughts just like other people.
No one is the same and everyone deserves to be heard whether it be good or bad.
A Forum is for me an outlet althoughi am not there much yet i always read along and enjoy all the beatuful things that happen here.
Let all the problems in this world not destroy our hobby.

Zonder verder inhoudelijk ergens op in te gaan en aan iedereen: in ‘normale face to face’ contacten is non-verbale communicatie erg belangrijk. Online mis je dat. Daardoor worden opmerkingen soms anders geïnterpreteerd dan ze bedoeld waren. Soms is het ook verstandig goed na te denken of je een opmerking wel juist geïnterpreteerd hebt. Ook is het goed om te beseffen dat sommige uitspraken die je doet harder over komen dan je bedoelt, als mensen je gezicht er niet bij zien.
Dan is het ook nog zo dat niet iedereen even goede ‘sociale voelsprieten’ heeft. Je kunt je daaraan ergeren, of je kunt het een plekje geven en het laten voor wat het is. We zijn nu eenmaal niet allemaal hetzelfde.
Laten we het met elkaar weer gezellig en leerzaam maken.
Dan is het ook nog zo dat niet iedereen even goede ‘sociale voelsprieten’ heeft. Je kunt je daaraan ergeren, of je kunt het een plekje geven en het laten voor wat het is. We zijn nu eenmaal niet allemaal hetzelfde.

Moderator? Waarom is mijn post verwijderd?
Dit gaat het forum zo te zien niet de broodnodige 'vrienden' opleveren, maar kosten.

Mijn posten zijn ook verwijderd, reden was "modder gooie". Dat lijkt mij een goede rede om een/mijn post te verwijderen. Dat moeten we niet willen met zijn allen. Goede beslissing van de moderators. Het voegt namelijk niks toe aan onze hobby.
In China en Rusland zijn deze praktijken heel gewoon hoor.......
laat ik nu net een Russische Admiraal hebben.

Heel jammer Piet!! Jij bent altijd een modelbouwer geweest met erg veel kennis en goede bijdragen en dat zullen velen erg missen. Maar ik kan je beslissing wel begrijpen en wil je bedanken voor wat je bracht!
Er zijn meerdere momenten geweest dat mensen klaar waren met dit forum en dit forum hebben verlaten, kennelijk weten sommigen niet hoe het hier gezellig te houden.

Heel jammer Piet!! Jij bent altijd een modelbouwer geweest met erg veel kennis en goede bijdragen en dat zullen velen erg missen. Maar ik kan je beslissing wel begrijpen en wil je bedanken voor wat je bracht!
Er zijn meerdere momenten geweest dat mensen klaar waren met dit forum en dit forum hebben verlaten, kennelijk weten sommigen niet hoe het hier gezellig te houden.
