Another Zwart Zee

So lots of work but it really does not look like much!

zz17.jpg

Port holes, all in back deck built with all the bulwarks, bow thruster in and faired, water line on.

Masts repainted as they were a bit too bright.

Now that the hull is done I can put the motors in and start the wiring... lots of fun ahead.

Hello Dylan, Is it possible to add your pictures in another way, for example to use Upload Bestand and the choose Volledige Afbeeding? Now we have to select one and then rotate, if the picture is not right up. See example below. Rgds, Klaas.

Ok I cant seem to rotate the image. Is it a mac issue?
Thanks
Dylan

Dylan, Sometimes I have the same problem posting pictures taken with my tablet. On the laptop I put them upright but after posting they turn up in the wrong way. Cannot understand where the problem occurs. Rgds, Klaas.

Shoot, the pictures are upright on the laptop.
I have even rotated them not upright on the laptop to see if they end up the right way here.. but no. I think its the format of the picture, for some reason it does not want them in portrait but in landscape. Its saving them here that they get turned to they are shot and fat not tall and skinny.
I will take the pictures the other way and see..

Dylan, The way I did it was opening the pic in Paint, put it in the right format and then saved it. Yoy can ive it a try. Rgds, Klaas.

Hello Again
Klaas and Steampump thanks for the advice.

I would like a bit more advice..

1) Custom decals for names, can anyone recommend a supplier?
2) Best charger /battery type connector. I have the deans ones on the batteries but can change. What is the best one?
3) Radio controlled switches, the tug is filling up with stuff very fast. In fact it is very full and I cannot take much more weight. But I would like to share the towing winch and the bow thruster on the same speed controller. I have one extra channel and was thinking of using one of these switches
https://www.robotshop.com/uk/dimension-engineering-doubleswitch-radio-controlled-relay.html
Any experience.
This will use channel 6 to switch the output of the speed controller on channel 4 from the bow thruster to the towing winch.

Thanks so much
Dylan

So work continues
The electronics are going in and its quite a bit.
4X speed controllers, 1X smoke machine, 1X sound machine..
Still have to set up the towing winch.
Wth all of this the deck will have to be made to come off with out too much difficulty.
Anyway pictures I hope in the correct orientation.

Components are held down with "blue tac" which is a sticky gum. So if issues happen they can be removed.
Still have to run the battery power cables and find somewhere to mount the on/off switches. (thinking of removing them.. for one large on/off switch) Opinions?

Thanks and good night
Dylan

I am looking for close up pics of the anchors and how they are supposed to go thru the hull on this model? Any help out there?
Thanks
Dylan

Dylan, Find out the positions where pipe goes through hull and deck. Then find the right dimension tube and drill the holes. Shape the ends of the pipe and glue in place. See exemple from my tiny coaster to get an idea. Rgds, Klaas.

Thanks Klass!
That helps a bunch
Im not sure if I am going to go that route or build anchor pockets like we have on yachts.. We will see shortly.
Thanks

So Its been too long since an update but here one is.
I need to still add the towing winch and reverse the running lights, it seems I built the house upside down and made a pretty rookie mistake.
And the aft deck needs some clean up, as well as rigging for the boom that will allow the towing winch to work.

Sometime this week its seat trial!

And I still need some advice on decals, who builds/ prints custom ones in the netherlands? I am going to change the name and need new names made for the bow and stern. As well as Plimsol and draft marks.
Thanks
Dylan

Could this help?
www.decalwinkel.nl

It's all in Dutch, though.
Hope that isn't a problem.

For plimsoll/draft marks I advise you just to Google "Plimsoll merk [scale]"
You'll find lots of webshops selling them.

Oh, and my compliments for the result so far
