Ik wist dat ik iets vergeten was....
actually removed the Rudder Post until after the second planking was completed.
Reduce the stern to 1mm, start the first planking to completion, this will give the stern a thickness of 4mm. On completion of the first planking and after the glue has set sand the stern to a total thickness of 3mm.
Now commence with the second planking, on completion of the second planking you will have a thickness of 5mm, trim the stern and sand down if necessary, you now have an option to either replace the Rudder Post or leave it of until further into the build.
I chose to leave it off until I had no choice but to put it in order to copper the hull.
As you can see in the 1st picture I am well into the build and the post is still not fitted.
2nd picture shows the second planking completed and the Rudder Post fitted.
3rd picture shows the Rudder Post fitted, the hull is now ready for coppering.
